What is the Hack Your Innovation Contest?
Hack Your Innovation Contest is a tech competition for devs who want to take their ideas to the next level. Each participant has to present a way of using Latch to improve digital security in different products.
The digital world moves very fast, and will continue to do so. New technologies such as Artificial Intelligence or Cloud Computing are always emerging and opening up new possibilities, but their development also brings new risks related to the privacy and security of companies and users.
Latch is an authorisation control platform powered by security latches that helps protect digital services with an extra layer of security. It operates in all sectors; education, e-commerce, web3 or fintech companies, protecting businesses from digital cyber-attacks.

- Critical infrastructure and/or industrial control systems: these systems are essential to our society, but are increasingly exposed to the risks from the internet. A second authorisation factor can improve security in various industrial scenarios, both in the physical and software domains.
- IT information technologies: this scenario faces constantly evolving risks, forcing security systems to innovate.
- Web3: This world presents constant cybersecurity challenges, where a single failure can cause millions of dollars in losses. This makes it vitally important to integrate processes that put a strong focus on the security of services.
- Internet of Things: IoT is integrated into everyday life, such as smart cities, transport optimisation, efficient use of farming resources and improving the quality of life in households.
How to participate in the Hack Your Innovation Contest
Registration will be open from October 17 until November 24 through the contest registration form. Once you have registered you have to send the hack by email with the requested information, which are your details, a video explaining the source code and at least one use case of the hack, and the public link to the source code. This will be available from October 18 until November 24. Once the date is over, the jury will evaluate the entries and announce the different winners on December 5.
Entries will be judged by a jury of renowned influencers in the field of technology and development. It is made up of Chema Alonso, Chief Digital Officer of Telefónica Digital Innovation, Braise Moure, Nerea Luis Mingueza, Miguel Ángel Durán and Carmen Ansio. They will be in charge of distributing the €5,000 prize money, which is divided into different categories: innovation, functionality, user experience, impact and technical quality.
