What is Quantum Encryption?

TU Quantum Encryption is a solution to extend the level of security of IoT environments or private 5G networks against the current threat of Store Now - Decrypt Later, which will lead to the future widespread use of quantum computers. With this solution we are getting ahead of the post-quantum future which, although it will bring multiple advantages, in certain sectors it is crucial to adopt preventive security measures in advance.

Why is it important?

Most computer experts predict that quantum computers will be available for widespread use in 10 years. This certainty implies an expiry date for some of the current cryptographic systems. That is why it is necessary to start adapting our networks now. This need is even more urgent if we share sensitive data through our systems. Typically, this data contains information that will remain critical until the deadline we have been given until the emergence of quantum computers. If this data were captured today, the secrecy with which it has been transmitted could be broken when the time comes, exposing information that should be kept confidential. This threat is called Store Now - Decrypt Later. The best solution to this threat? Post-quantum cryptography, which introduces encryption mechanisms that are robust against the quantum threat.
