Integrates authorisation controls to your Web3 services

With Latch, implement an authorization architecture directly on Smart Contracts and block unauthorized operations on DeFi services and other Web3 products.

How Latch for Web3 works

Advantages

What will your users be able to do if you integrate Latch into your company's Web3 environments?

• Block any transaction that is not your own
• Prevent any theft of cryptocurrencies or NFT
• Protect accounts by preventing unauthorised access
• Ensure data privacy

For developers

Steps to integrate Latch into your company's Web3 environment

1. Log into the DApp backend with your Web3 wallet
2. Go to the Latch linking area in the DApp backend
3. Request the pairing token in the Latch mobile app
4. Enter the pairing token in the DApp backend
5. Link and sign the transaction in Web3 with Latch

How it works

Latch is a DApp or Web3 application

The DApp Smart Contract runs on the blockchain while the user authenticates with their Web3 wallet. In addition to the single factor authentication (1FA) method to connect to your Web3 applications, the user also has a second factor authentication (2FA) based on Latch. Thus, by integrating an additional Smart Contract anchored on the blockchain, we can query the status of Latches via a proxy within the Blockchain.

What is the Latch configuration process like?

3 simple steps you should know

Couplet

The pairing is done between the Latch backend and the DApp backend. To do this, from the Latch mobile application, the user must link their account with the DApp through a pairing token.

Check

The Smart Contract uses the Latch proxy on the blockchain to call a function that verifies its Latch authentication and confirms that the transaction is performed with the user's correct wallet.

Latch status

To change the state, the user simply opens and closes the latches in the mobile app. This reaches the Latch backend which records the new state on the blockchain.
