Special Conditions of the TU VerifAI Service

These particular conditions are complementary to the General Conditions of Use of the Telefónica Innovación Digital Services available on the TU VerifAI service web page (https://www.tu.com/en/tid-terms) and are specific to this service (hereinafter, the "Service"), provided by TELEFÓNICA INNOVACIÓN DIGITAL, S.L.U., company with Tax Identification Number B83188953, registered office at Ronda de la Comunicación, s/n, Edificio Central, 28050, Madrid (hereinafter, "Telefónica").

The acceptance, without reservation, of these Special Conditions is indispensable for the use of the Service by any interested person. In the event that the User does not agree with these Special Conditions, he/she must not use the Service.

1. Service Description

TU VerifAI is a solution developed by Telefónica that aims to detect whether a certain content provided by the User was generated or modified in any way by Artificial Intelligence ("AI") systems. Thus, TU VerifAI allows the User to know the probability (in an estimated percentage) for each of the models used by VerifAI that the content consulted has been generated or modified by AI. The result is provided as an estimate. Telefónica makes NO warranty and does not provide any assurance as to the accuracy or reliability of the result.

To use the Service, the User may provide the content in image, video or audio format (hereinafter, the "Content"), without prejudice that Telefónica may modify or enable new consultation formats at its discretion.

TU VerifAI may use its own and third-party engines , which may vary during the term of the Service, both in number of engines available and in technology suppliers.

2. Service Modalities

TU VerifAI allows the User to perform content queries on 3 different types of files: image, video or audio.

The service is offered on a pay-as-you-go basis, with different possibilities of access to document analysis:

  • Single query: One-time analysis of an audio, image or video document. No user registration is required and there is a one-time fee associated with it.
  • TU VerifAI Packages: allow, upon user registration, the purchase of a package of audio, image and video document analysis. Packages can be a one-time payment or a monthly payment with a certain number of analyses per month.

TU VerifAI user will be able to create a user account of the Service that will give him/her access to his/her private area where he/she will be able to consult the contracted plans, the number of consults available and the history of analysis performed.

We recommend that you review the Content limitations existing at any given time for each available consultation mode (audio, image or video), as reported on the TU VerifAI website.

The price of the Consultation indicated on the website includes the value added tax applicable at any given time. The User must provide his/her country / place of residence for its proper application. The taxes associated with the price of the Service will be paid by whoever corresponds according to the Law. If an agreement to avoid double taxation is applicable, both Parties will apply said agreement provided that the necessary documentation is provided in due time and form to be able to apply it, especially a certificate of tax residence.

3. Main

Through TU VerifAI Telefónica intends to provide tools that allow interested individuals and companies to get an estimate of whether certain information or content is originally developed by a person or if it is the result of the use of Artificial Intelligence, and thus help the VerifAI user to form a more realistic opinion about such content.

Within the framework of this purpose, we inform you about the main features of the Service:

  • Telefónica will provide the Service in accordance with the terms set forth in the General Conditions of Use of the Telefónica Innovación Digital Services, available at https://www.tu.com/en/tid-terms.
  • TU VerifAI will store the Content provided by the user for the sole purpose of providing the result of the analysis performed on such Content, and to allow its consultation at the express request of the user at any time. TU VerifAI also stores a digital signature or hash of the Content associated with the analysis that has been generated, in order to facilitate user support after the analysis. A hash is an encoded text string consisting of unrepeatable numbers and letters that unambiguously represent the Content. The hash is not reversible, that is to say, the Content cannot be obtained through the hash. This is without prejudice to the fact that third party engines may process the consulted Content differently.
  • We remind that the result is not conclusive, exact or reliable, it is a starting point through which the User can make, at his own risk, a deeper analysis about the origin of the Content.
  • We also remind you that the User is solely responsible for the Content he/she consults through TU VerifAI and for the disclosure he/she makes of the result obtained.
  • The User's personal data will be limited to the basic contact data necessary to register on the platform, as well as the billing and payment data provided by the User. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Policy of Telefónica Innovación Digital, available in the Service portal, as well as in the Legal Center - TU.
